When you marry an incredibly well built umbrella with a very heavy base (or sometimes a permanent mount), your umbrella will stay put. Tuuci uses marine grade Sunbrella fabrics for their canopies and these can last decades before replacement.

FIM is a very popular option. It offers incredible functionality and sleek looks at a price point that is more modest. The only thing you sacrifice is the Tuuci’s unparalleled wind resistance.  The FIM frame components are manufactured in Italy but the Sunbrella canvases are made right here in Canada.  

The FIM umbrella is a patented cantilever design that has a unique, very minimalist bolt down base that allows the user to easily index it through 360 degree rotation as the sun moves through the sky.  If you don’t want to bolt your umbrella down, they have a variety of other base options. The canopy also tilts side to side making lots of shade earlier or later in the day when most umbrellas don’t work at all.
